CURTAIN WARMER Fri APR 6 Only | 7:30pm | FREE | Butz Lobby | The Rush-Henrietta Bel Canto Singers, under the direction of Carol Lamica, is a select women’s choir founded in 2003 at Rush Henrietta Senior High School in the suburb of Rochester, NY. It is an after school, extracurricular performing ensemble comprised  of 25 auditioned singers in grades 10-12. The educational goal of this ensemble is to give young women an extra opportunity to develop their voices by singing music of a much more complex nature than what is performed in their curricular choirs. Bel Canto Singers have performed in multiple evaluation festivals and have earned the highest honors many times.

The Bel Canto Singers have traveled to New York City, Toronto, Walt Disney World, Cedar Point, Hershey, Gettysburg and Boston. They have  been invited to perform for numerous events in and out of school, and enjoy singing both classical pieces for women, as well as pop songs and show tunes.
